Client's Pledge

The Client's Pledge
The hosting industry is filled with both good and bad hosts, but sometimes problems can arise because clients and hosts are not on the same page. We encourage hosts to ask their clients to follow our Client's Pledge.

This pledge allows clients to communicate with their host that they will treat them fairly and with respect.

The Pledge
As a client, I will…
  1. Understand certain problems may be out of the control of my web host.
  2. Not initiate ‘charge backs’ or dispute tickets without first having direct contact with my web host and trying to resolve the problem.
  3. Abide by my hosts TOS or applicable document.
  4. Treat my host with respect, because I understand they are people too.
  5. Not over-react for small issues.
  6. Be persistent when problems arise.
  7. Not defame my host publicly without first having direct contact with my web host and trying to resolve the problem.
  8. Provide others with an accurate opinion of my host’s services, if requested.
  9. Do my best to pay all applicable fees on time.
  10. Notify my host of problems if they don’t already know about them.

Hosts: Ask your clients for their commitment

Place one of these logos on your site, and ask clients to check a box (next to this logo) that asks them to follow the Client's Pledge. You'll be glad you did! Please do not hotlink these images from our site.
